Fundraising event - Trailwalker comes to Mumbai and Pune

for the third Indian edition of India Trailwalker

Mumbai : Oxfam India today announced registrations open for the third Indian edition of Oxfam India Trailwalker. This team building challenge will be held from November 15 to 17, 2013 on a trail passing through the lush green Sahyadri ranges starting from Garudmaachi near Pune, looping around the Mulshi lake and traversing through the Western Ghats culminating in Lonavala. The greenery, the flora and fauna, the fresh air and the clear blue skies along this trail are simply a visual delight and offer many photographic opportunities as one passes through a variety of landscapes like forests, scrub lands, lakes, hills, farm lands, rivulets etc.
The 100 km trail has a start point, nine check points and a finish point. During the event, each team usually has a support crew to cheer them up and support them with their requirements of food, water, medical facilities and any other support.
Oxfam India Trailwalker is a fundraising event that invites teams of four to get together and undertake the challenge to walk or run 100 kms within 48 hours. Registrations are now open on the website, Each team needs to sign up with a registration fee of Rs. 4000/- per participant. The teams dedicate themselves to fundraise for Oxfam India and undertake a target of raising Rs. 50,000 from friends, associates and family. Oxfam India Trailwalker, Mumbai, is aiming at raising Rs. 2.5 Crore from this event.
 Announcing the Mumbai edition of Trailwalker 2013, Ms. Nisha Agrawal, CEO, Oxfam India said “It gives me great pleasure to bring Oxfam India Trailwalker to Mumbai and Pune this year. I invite enthusiastic Mumbaikars and Punekars to take up this exciting 100 km challenge and raise funds to ensure the right to life with dignity for all. A part of the funds raised through the event will be utilized for upliftment of tribals and women in this region.”

Bloomberg TV India announces The TOP 10

Mumbai, September, 2013: The nation’s premier English business news channel, Bloomberg TV India’s third season of THE PITCH has moved into its final phase.  The jury, comprising of successful entrepreneurs Mahesh Murthy, Vishal Gondal and Neeraj Roy, have selected the FINAL 10 contenders who will be competing for the top spot. Starting September 27th, the elimination episodes of “The Pitch” will be telecast on Fridays at10:30 pm and Sundays at 5 pm.

The top 10 contenders are Nikhilesh Tayal from Udaipur, an IIT Kharagpur graduate; Afsal Salu from Bangalore, an IIM Lucknow graduate; Shirish Bhatt from Pune, a Computer Engineer; Dr. Ketan Jhunjhunwala from Mumbai is an MBBS and is currently pursuing MD-PhD in clinical neurosciences; Sujayath Ali from Chennai is an MBA in Technology and Finance and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering; Rahul Agrawal from Kanpur is a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur; Sudeepta Sanyal from Kolkata is a Sociology graduate and an MBA; Varun Khona from Bangalore is a Bachelor in Business Management; Pandurang Taware, a graduate from Sanghvi Village in Baramati and Ankit Mehrotra from New Delhi is a CFA and a graduate in Computers & Telecommunication Engineering .

The film set against the backdrop of hacking where Manish Paul is playing a character of Mickey Arora, He is smart guy who runs a grocery store in the day time and creates virus for antivirus companies in the night.Mickey Virus also marks the debut of Elli Avram who is half Greek and half Swedish.

The movie revolves around Delhi police and virus, When Delhi Police have trouble with a hacking case, and they approach Mickey (Manish Paul) to help catch the cyber culprits. The trailer reveals a few clips of Micky speeding away, performing some super stunts as he tries to get away from his pursuers. 

Also featuring Manish Choudhary, Varun Badola, Puja Gupta, Nitish Pandey, Raghav Kakkar and Vikesh Kumar, Mickey Virus is slated to release on October 25th.

Actor Armaan Kohli son of prominent director and producer Rajkumar Kohli enters in house and was sent into hell to experience 'jehanum ka oww' with his mates where they had to spend their days with low comfort while other will be treated with 'Jannat ka wow' with highly furnished stay. Based on the theme of 'hell' and 'heaven', the house has been divided into two parts and it’s separated by a wired mesh.

Mumbai: International conference at Russell Square International College created a huge awakening in people from different sectors about digitization, how it has impacted the society and lives of all in every sector today. The age today is called the digital age & the society itself has been a witness of the changing trends. From the black and white tv channel where there were only limited tv shows till today where we have more than 100 channels each with different varieties of tv shows that are broadcasted throughout day. With so many options available today, one can keep surfing channels and this explains the multiple offerings in the media sector alone. Similarly other sector like Health Care, Science, IT, have also been touched by the digital way by some or the other form, thus facilitating producers and making life easier.

On the occasion of organizing this conference at the Russell square International College Dignitaries like Dr. Naresh Chandra- Pro Vice-Chancellor, (University of Mumbai), Dr Kumar Ketkar (Senior Journalist), Dr Mohan Khedkar (Vice Chancellor of Amravati University), Dr Keith Sharp, (Director of UOL programmes at LSE), Dr. Pradeep Sarda (Chairman), Mr Ravi Goena (Vice- Chairman), and Dr. Sheela Nabar (Principal and Academic Director) were delighted with the entire event.
