Apollo Hospitals’ “My Hands Are Ready” Sets World Record Title with 61,221 CPR Pledges in 30 Days

Apollo Hospitals’ “My Hands Are Ready” Sets World Record Title with 61,221 CPR Pledges in 30 Days, Universal Newsline

The campaign reaches students, teachers and staff across 120 institutions, advancing CPR awareness and emergency preparedness ahead of World Heart Day 2026, themed “United for Every Heartbeat.”

Mumbai, 28 September 2026: ‘Is Navi Mumbai ready to save a life.’ This was the question that set the CPR Pledge Movement in motion by Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai.

Conducted from 8 July to 7 August 2026, the movement set out to mobilise 50,000 people to pledge that they would learn CPR and be better prepared to respond in the critical moments before professional medical help arrives. Navi Mumbai not only crossed the target but brought together people from across the city in a collective commitment to being prepared.

More than 120 institutions, including schools, colleges, workplaces and community organisations, participated in the initiative, bringing together students, teachers, healthcare professionals, employees, families and community members. This initiative sought to encourage people to become more prepared and proactive in responding to medical emergencies. Over the course of the campaign, 61,221 people pledged to learn CPR, turning a simple call to action into a widespread community movement.

The month-long movement culminated with GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ officially recognising Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai as the record-holder for ‘Most pledges received to learn CPR in one month’, at a special event held in the presence of Dr. Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited and actor Karisma Kapoor.

Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, said,

“For ten years, Navi Mumbai has honoured us with its trust. Today, more than 61,000 people have pledged to learn CPR, reminding us of the extraordinary power of a community united by a shared purpose. This is the inspiration behind ‘My Hands Are Ready’, a movement that seeks to place life-saving knowledge into the hands of ordinary citizens across India. There can be no greater way to honour the trust Navi Mumbai has placed in our hands than to empower millions more hands to be ready to help save a life.”

The scale of the campaign responds to a significant CPR knowledge-and-action gap in India. More than 700,000 people are estimated to die from sudden cardiac arrest in the country each year, while studies suggest that only 1.3%-9.8% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests receive bystander CPR. In urban populations, only around 2%-6.5% of laypeople have been reported to be able to perform CPR, and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest survival to hospital discharge remains below 2%-3%. These figures underline the importance of equipping ordinary citizens to act before professional help arrives. Through “My Hands Are Ready”, Apollo Hospitals is helping turn willingness to help into the confidence and preparedness to take the right action when it matters most.

Mr Arunesh Punetha, Regional CEO- Western Region, Apollo Hospitals, said,

“We want to take the message beyond Navi Mumbai and encourage people across India to learn CPR and feel prepared to respond when a life may depend on those standing closest. This movement is about giving ordinary people the courage to step forward for another life. That is what makes it more than a campaign. It is a commitment to society, to every life, every family and every one of us. Through ‘My Hands Are Ready’, it is a promise we make to each other. And it is a promise we make to India.”

Dr Nitin Jagasia, Regional Director – Emergency, Western Region, Apollo Hospitals, said,

“When someone suffers a cardiac emergency (their heart stops), the first person at the scene is often not a healthcare professional but a family member, colleague, friend or passer-by. The ability to recognise this and initiate CPR can make all the difference while professional help is on its way. This movement by Apollo is to encourage thousands of people to take the first step towards acquiring this essential basic skill. Every person who learns CPR becomes better equipped to respond during those crucial early moments.”

At its heart is a simple idea: our hands are already capable of caring, helping and protecting. With the right knowledge and training, they can also be ready to respond when a life is at risk.

SRIT India Limited IPO: Driving the Next Era of Enterprise Tech and E-Governance Integration, Universalnewsline

MUMBAI — As India’s technological landscape pivots toward automated public infrastructure and high-scale enterprise engineering, homegrown technology solution providers are taking center stage. Leading this charge from the front lines is Bengaluru-headquartered SRIT India Limited. The company has officially announced its transition into the public markets, setting its Initial Public Offering (IPO) to open for subscription on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Seeking to raise up to ₹218.4 crore at its upper price band, SRIT India enters the primary market not as a speculative startup, but as a seasoned market veteran with over two and a half decades of deep-tier technical execution.

📊 The IPO Framework
The public issue has been precisely engineered to anchor institutional interest while keeping the door wide open for retail participation.
  • The Timeline: The issue will accept bids from September 28, 2026, through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with the critical anchor investor bidding window opening early on Friday, September 25, 2026.
  • Pricing & Value: Investors can bid within a price band of ₹123 to ₹130 per Equity Share (Face Value of ₹5 each). The minimum lot size is locked at 115 equity shares.
  • Listing Platforms: The shares are proposed to be listed on both major national exchanges, NSE and BSE.
🏛 Balanced Allocation Matrix
To ensure healthy liquidity and post-listing stability, the net offer is strategically divided among primary investor classes:

  • Retail Individual Investors: Not less than 35% of the Net Issue
  • Non-Institutional Investors (NII): Not less than 15% of the Net Issue

💡 Capital Deployment: Capitalizing on Future Growth
Unlike many contemporary tech listings that serve as exit vehicles for private equity, SRIT India’s IPO is a pure growth play. The fresh capital of ₹218.4 crore will be deployed across critical operational levers to fund the company's next expansion phase.
Primary allocations include modernizing existing product suites, upgrading architecture, and fulfilling heavy working capital demands driven by massive enterprise integrations. Furthermore, a portion of the funds will target inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions—allowing SRIT to quickly acquire complementary technologies and expand its footprint in select overseas markets.
"The IPO marks an important milestone in SRIT’s journey of more than two and a half decades," notes Dr. Nambiar Raghavan Madhusoodan, Managing Director & CEO of SRIT India Limited. "We have built our capabilities around designing, implementing, and operating mission-critical digital platforms across e-governance, telecommunications and broadband, and healthcare. The proposed deployment of the Net Proceeds is intended to support the next phase of our business as we continue strengthening our technology capabilities."

📈 Clear Visibility: A Resilient ₹1,200+ Crore Order Book
For growth investors looking for long-term predictability, SRIT’s financial indicators paint a highly resilient picture. The company has carved out highly profitable niches in heavily guarded sectors that require deep compliance and multi-year maintenance contracts.
According to Mr. Ratiraj Tibrewal, Director of Choice Capital Advisors Private Limited (the Book Running Lead Manager to the issue), the company enters the public eye backed by a massive execution pipeline. As of June 30, 2026, SRIT India commands an outstanding Order Book of ₹12,047.17 million (~₹1,204.7 crore).
⏱ Fiscal Year 2026 Performance Matrix:

  • Operating EBITDA: ₹647.74 million
  • EBITDA Margin: A healthy 14.39%
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹432.89 million (with a net PAT margin of 9.62%)

🔍 Deep Dive: The Competitive Edge
SRIT operates across three high-barrier verticals: Electronic Governance, Telecommunications & Broadband, and Healthcare. What separates the firm from standard IT solution providers is its end-to-end service stack—spanning initial architecture design, complex data migration, deployment, and decades-long operations.
  • World-Class Process Maturity: The company's delivery processes are appraised at CMMI V3.0 (DEV) Maturity Level 5 (Optimizing). This represents the absolute pinnacle of global software development standards, shared only by elite global engineering firms.
  • Rigorous Security & Compliance: SRIT is backed by the Systems Security Engineering Capability Maturity Model and holds nine distinct ISO certifications spanning data security, environmental health, and quality management.
  • The AI Imperative: To ensure long-term market dominance, the company is actively embedding AI-enabled systems directly into its core software verticals, driving advanced automation for both enterprise clients and government bodies.
With Choice Capital Advisors Private Limited spearheading the book-building process and KFin Technologies Limited acting as the registrar, all eyes now turn to the anchor bidding on September 25. For market watchers, SRIT India's debut represents a highly watched barometer for institutional appetite in India’s maturing, enterprise-grade software ecosystem.

Dr Supriya Shah: When the Sitar Becomes a Voice Beyond Words

Dr Supriya Shah UniversalNewsline.com

Rooted in the Madhubani-Maihar tradition, the acclaimed sitarist, academic and mentor is carrying Indian classical music forward with a rare balance of tradition, scholarship and contemporary expression.

In an age when music is increasingly measured in seconds, streams and viral trends, Dr. Supriya Shah represents something enduring the patience of a raga, the discipline of a tradition and the unmistakable voice of the sitar.

One of the distinguished sitarists of her generation, Dr. Shah belongs to the Madhubani-Maihar Gharana. Her musical identity is firmly rooted in Hindustani classical tradition, yet her approach is not confined by it. Classical raagdari remains at the heart of her music, while her willingness to engage with other musical genres allows the sitar to communicate with audiences well beyond the conventional classical circuit.

A Journey That Began at 13

Supriya Shah's relationship with music began at the age of 13 under the guidance of Late Pt. Satish Chandra. She subsequently received intensive training in Hindustani classical music and advanced sitar technique from Late Pt. Uma Shankar Mishra, and was also briefly mentored by Grammy Award winner Padma Bhushan Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

What followed was not merely a career in performance, but a life built around music—as an artiste, scholar, teacher and cultural ambassador.

Today, Dr. Shah serves as Senior Faculty in the Department of Instrumental Music, Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, and is also a graded artiste of All India Radio. Over nearly two decades at BHU, she has trained and mentored numerous students, while extending her teaching internationally through digital classes.

Where Art Meets Scholarship

What distinguishes Dr. Shah is the unusual depth of her academic journey alongside her stage career.

She earned a Ph.D. for her research on the changing scenario of performance practice in instrumental music in the 20th century, with special reference to Hindustani music. She topped the M.Phil programme at the University of Delhi and was a Gold Medallist in M.A. Hindustani Music. Before pursuing music academically, she graduated in Economics (Honours) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.

This combination of scholarship and performance gives her music an interesting character: the musician understands not only how a tradition is performed, but also how it has evolved.

From Kashi to the International Stage

Dr Supriya Shah UniversalNewsline

Dr. Shah's sitar has travelled across some of India's important cultural platforms and beyond.

Her performances include the Sankat Mochan International Music Festival's centenary celebrations, Sangeet Natak Akademi's Samyog in New Delhi,Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan,

RIMPA International Music Festival, Ganga Mahotsav, World Sitar Festival, concerts at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, and performances connected with the Krishnamurti Foundation India and several other prestigious cultural institutions.

Her music has also travelled internationally. The Embassy of India in Tokyo featured her solo sitar recitals on Gandhi Jayanti in 2020 and during India's Independence Day celebrations in 2021.

Her digital concert Anuragini, organised by UK-based Harmoniverse, was showcased through the social platforms of the Nehru Centre in London and The Gandhi Centre in the Netherlands.

She was also invited to conduct sitar masterclasses at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de La Réunion in 2025.

Recognition Along the Way

Her journey has brought an impressive range of honours.

Among them are the Ravi Koppikar Memorial Award from NCPA, First Prize in the Akashvani Sangeet Pratiyogita, the Laya Jyoti Award, university gold medals and recognition from several cultural organisations. She received the Samskrithi Award 2024–25 in Kerala in recognition of her contribution as a musician and music educator.

In March 2025, her alma mater Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur, felicitated her during its Golden Jubilee celebrations as one of its 50 outstanding alumni, also featuring her in a commemorative coffee-table book.

Yet perhaps her more lasting achievement lies beyond trophies and citations.

It is in the students she teaches, the audiences she introduces to the sitar and the bridge she continues to build between India's classical inheritance and a changing generation.

Tradition That Refuses to Stand Still

Indian classical music survives not simply because traditions are preserved, but because every generation finds musicians capable of making those traditions meaningful again.

Dr. Supriya Shah belongs to that continuum

Dr Supriya Shah Universal Newsline

Her sitar can carry the discipline of the gharana onto a traditional concert stage, travel through digital platforms to listeners thousands of kilometres away, enter a classroom as a subject of serious scholarship, and return again to the intimacy of a raga.

For her, music appears to be less about displaying virtuosity than finding a language deeper than speech.

As Dr. Shah herself expresses it: “Music—where pain is the ingredient for pleasure and sorrow transmutes into joy.”

Perhaps that thought explains the emotional centre of her journey.

The strings of her sitar do not merely preserve an old tradition—they remind a contemporary world why that tradition continues to matter.
