International FoodTec India and PackEx India to showcase technologies to support the government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign

International FoodTec India and PackEx India 2014 is a much awaited platform for food processing and packaging intensive sectors with an objective to discuss and deliberate the latest technological developments for these two sectors. The exhibition will give the much required thrust to the food processing and broad packaging sector, the growth prospects of which is recognized by the Government of India where they have announced reduction of excise duty from 10% to 6% for the food processing machinery, setting up of various Mega Food Parks, special funding of Rs. 2000 crore for NABARD, etc. The 9th edition of International FoodTec India and International PackEx India 2014 is organized by Koelnmesse YA Tradefair Pvt. Ltd., an Indian subsidiary of Koelnmesse GmbH, Germany - one of the world's leading trade fair organizers. The event is organized in conjunction with Sweet and SnackTec India and Dairy Universe India as concurrent shows from November 14-16, 2014 at Hall 1, Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai.“The event promises to render an end-to-end perspective thereby catering to the growing food processing and packaging intensive industry and has effectively positioned itself as the destination of choice for this sector. Through International FoodTec India and PackEx India 2014, we want to optimize international technology for the Indian market to support the ‘Make in India’ campaign. The event is envisaged to bring over 400 exhibitors from India and abroad covering an area of over20,000 sq. mt., addressing the needs of the business owners, product managers, production line and R&D personnel. After a successful 2012 edition, this exhibition is receiving an overwhelming participation response from both national and international companies with confirmed pavilions from China, Europe, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, The Netherlands and Turkey. With over 48% international participation from around 30 countries, the exhibition is expected to be the meeting place for "who's who" of food & beverage processing industry and Packaging user industries.
With Industry leaders participating in the exhibition, the show floor will be one stop solution for all processing and packaging needs with live demonstrations of machines from over 200 companies from world over. Visitors are bound to have an indelible experience by witnessing the latest technologies for food processing and packaging, dairy processing and packaging, packaging material and technology, safety, quality management, operating materials, refrigeration and air-conditioning technology, conveying, transport and storage facilities etc.
Over the years, International FoodTec India has always had very active participation from German Companies. This year it will have around 35 companies exhibiting wide spectrum of processing and packaging technology.
The Italian Trade Promotion Agency will be organizing official Italian pavilion comprising 6 companies. Apart from this, over 30 Italian companies are participating in this exhibition directly or along with their Indian representatives. In the 2014 edition, Korea Packaging Machinery Association (KPMA) is organizing the country pavilion with 12 exhibitors for the first time.
FME - a trade association of the Dutch technology industry is organizing the Netherlands pavilion for the first time in India. In a view to respond to growing technological demand in the Indian sub-continent, over 17 Dutch companies will display their latest innovations with intelligent, efficient, zero defect processes and new manufacturing technologies. ADEPTA, the French Association for the International Development of Exchange of Food and Agricultural Products and Techniques, is organizing an official group pavilion of 7 French companies which will showcase their latest offerings to the processing and packaging industry.
Over 25 companies from China and Turkey, will make this exhibition to cover the technological innovations from East to West. Apart from these, International FoodTec India 2014 will host pavilion from Europe as well showcasing the technological strength of Europe. Many other international food processing and packaging solution providers from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA, etc are either participating individually or along with their Indian representatives.
The exhibition will host seminars on ‘Future of Milk Based Nutraceuticals’ on the first day of the trade fair i.e. 14.11.2014 by Indian Dairy Association (West Zone) at the same venue. This seminar will be will be an additional takeaway for the industry think-tanks and is expected to be an excellent platform to discuss and deliberate on the importance of 'Milk based Nutraceuticals' to boost the production, marketing and consumption of nutraceuticals.  Another seminar on ‘Packaging Innovations in Pharmaceutical industries’ will be organized on the first two days of the trade fair i.e. 14.11.2014 and 15.11.2014 by India Pharma Machinery Manufacturers Association (IPMMA).IPMMA is an apex body in India representing the Indian pharmaceutical machinery manufacturers from all across the country. It is aimed at facilitating series of realistic discussions and idea exchanges spanning across three days of the exhibition on a diverse array of operating areas in the food processing and packaging industry. It will encourage discussion on topics that would benefit companies and professionals operating in the food and packaging industry. It will be followed by an interactive session which will render an opportunity to the visitors and exhibitors to have an expert opinion on their topic of interest.
