Cash Awards and Scholarships for Meritorious children from DS Group

DS Group Accolades Academic Excellence

Provides financial aid to the employees’ children to pursue their educational dreams

New Delhi, 18 November, 2013: 

Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), the rapidly growing multi-diversified conglomerate has been awarding the meritorious children of its employees with Cash Awards and Scholarships for the past 13 years. The Company awarded approx. Rs 22 lakhs to 363 employee’s children with outstanding academic achievement, from across the country, for the year 2012-13.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Atul Jain, Director HR, DS Group said, “We are thrilled to support the outstanding young performers of the DS family. By assisting the children of our employees with educational grants, we help them gain skills and knowledge that will give them an edge in establishing themselves in a rapidly evolving competitive world. We also strongly feel that such scholarship and awards encourage the children to perform even better in their academics, thus forming a solid base for their bright future”.

The children of all employees can receive an annual cash award between Rs.2500 to Rs.30,000 under the Cash Award Policy and between Rs.2400 to Rs.6000, under the Scholarship Policy (amount depends on the grades obtained in the previous academic year). Employees can apply for these educational grants through an application process. In addition, a silver medal is given to the toppers of 10th and 12th class, who apply under this scheme.

The criteria for benefitting from Cash Award & Scholarship Policy are as follows-:

-          The scheme is applicable for up to two children per employee
-          Scholarships are only given to the children of workers, while cash awards are given to the children of all employees
-          The ward is eligible for the scheme only if employee (parent) is on the rolls of the company at the time of  examination
-          The scheme is admissible only if the eligible ward studies in a recognized school (affiliated to CBSE, ICSE, State Board, Navodaya Vidyalaya etc.)
