Yaariyan Actress Serah Singh was in all praises for the peppy tune of a song which hit the right chords with the youth.  She said, “The song is very catchy and connectable with youth”. The song sung by rapper YO YO Honey Singh who had hits the chartbuster with his rocking performance and the soulful Benny Dayal. 

The music is rendered by Pritam and the lyrics are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song is picturised on a pyjama party and the lyrics hit bang on. Raat ko hoga hungama-Jab chamkega chanda mama-Suit boot ko goli maro-Pehan ke aa jaao pajama. The song gives the new meaning to ABCD as A for aao na aao, B for bhaav na khao, C se chilla ke gao, D se daaru peete jao which pick up the call of the youth.

Serah Singh said, “Honey Singh is really very good and he has robbed my heart once again. Divyaji has picturised the song perfectly and her direction is wonderful and she has given her audience a great song and music that can cater to youth. I enjoyed the song and hope people will love it.”

Women should be Alluring, says Priyanka Chopra


"A woman should always be alluring, we are made to be alluring, we come from the land of Kama-sutra." Actor Priyanka Chopra, who starred on Day 2 of Agenda Aaj Tak, provided perhaps her most candid thoughts yet in response to hard questions about crimes against women, the role of Bollywood in a larger societal message about women, and what the government needs to do.

"Crimes against women will come down when laws are implemented properly. Laws exist, but there is fearlessness. Unless that fear goes, crimes against women won't go down," Priyanka said in response to a question from the BJP's Anurag Thakur on how the film industry could help in the fight against rape in the backdrop of the December 16 Delhi gangrape. "The film industry is for entertainment. Don't think society should put the responsibility of the message solely on the film industry. That's the government's job," she said.

Explaining that she still needed to take the big 'masala' films in order to be commercially viable for the freedom to do 'meaningful' cinema with strong female characters, Priyanka told the audience about her upcoming sport biopic on Indian Olympian boxer and icon Mary Kom.

"Training is on, you'll see my muscles soon. Mary Kom's character was difficult. But I believe it needs to be the story of every girl, of how barriers are broken. This is the story of every girl who's had to break barriers in her life," said Priyanka.

The actor, who has recently signed on as brand ambassador for GUESS, the "first who isn't blonde and blue-eyed", was sporting enough to stand up on stage and show the audience a bit of what training has done for her -- some nifty footwork and the boxing stance: "I'm a good boxer now! I've picked up a few tricks! I've never been sporty in my life, ironically. Have had to turn my life upside down learning a new sport."

About her relationships and private life, Priyanka said, "I'm private, but I'm not politically correct. I believe that if I give my 90% to the public, the remaining is for my private life and family. I share a lot on social networks. I don't believe being a public figure means laying bare all details about my life. A part of my life needs to be mine alone. I used to hide the papers when my father was sick, because of the malicious things people wrote about me. My father was my best friend. I could talk to him about anything."

To the inevitable question: Modi or Rahul, Priyanka played safe. "I'm very politically correct. I refuse to comment on anything political."

"We are taught that India is a secular country. We don't need to all think like one person. We don't live in a dictatorship. We live in a democracy, and we should be proud of it," she said.

I have no intention of joining politics - Aamir Khan


Aamir Khan, the Bollywood superstar, took the stage at Agenda Aajtak 2013 to call for political awakening across the country.

Rejecting all notions that he was considering a career in politics, Aamir said, “I have no intention of joining politics. I am happy doing what I do. But, I believe that all of us are political and social animals. And being politically conscious, being able to take the right decision is crucial if we want to change the country”.

Aamir Khan also attributed his positive outlook to life to the teachings his mother imparted him with. Citing various examples, Mr Khan said his mother drilled positive thoughts, empathy into him. “I have never felt that a movie has done well and I should have been in it or a certain role should have gone to me instead of the other actor”, Aamir said. The versatile actor listed Sanjay Dutt’s role in Munnabhai and Ranbir Kapoor’s act in Barfi as something he admires.

Asked about an actor he admires, Aamir named Salman Khan as the ‘Powerhouse of Star Power’. “Salman is a much bigger star. I saw Dabangg and really enjoyed it. While all of us need a good director, a good production team to make a good film, all Salman needs to do is take of his shirt and dance around a little”, Aamir said.

The 48-year old actor, who has essayed a physically demanding acrobat’s role in the upcoming Dhoom-3 said he still feels as if he was just 18-19 years old. “I end up calling persons much younger than me ‘Uncle’ because that’s what they look like”, quipped Aamir.

Sonu Nigam praises Talent Hunt Reality Shows


Agenda Aaj Tak 2013 got off to a musical start with singer Sonu Nigam keeping audience enthralled for over 40 minutes. The session began with Mr Nigam, product of a television talent hunt show himself, syncing tune with Indian Idol Junior Aakash.

A candid Sonu Nigam had only words of praise for the current singing reality shows. “I don’t agree the shows confuse children. Reality shows, in fact, have pulled out strugglers from a hand-to-mouth existence”, said Mr Nigam. According to Sonu Nigam, the exposure has helped new entrants with a steady income stream.

Mr Nigam rued the typecasting phenomenon in Bollywood. “I was earlier given only sad and slow songs. I had to struggle to be the voice of young actors”, claimed Sonu Nigam. Looking the eternal optimist, Mr Nigam said technology has helped singers with far less talent make it big in the film industry. “The voice should have a nice texture. Notes can always be mixed to create the perfect blend for a song”, revealed Mr Nigam.

The highlight of the session, though was Mr Nigam joining former BJP President Nitin Gadkari to sing ‘Tujhse Naraaz Nahi Zindagi’. A hesitant Mr Gadkari impressed all with his rendition of the unforgettable number from Masoom.

Ghazal legends, Talat Aziz and Pankaj Udhas, present in the audience had only words of praise for Sonu Nigam. “Sonu is blessed with some of the best vocal chords”, said Talat Aziz while Pankaj Udhas said “Sonu reminds me of Kishore Kumar. He is no less than Kishore.”

Blenders Pride Fashion tour 2013 had its grand preview in Mumbai that took place, the eagerly awaited fashion extravaganza kick started in Chandigarh which was soon followed by Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata, and turned to Delhi over the weekend, featuring Wendell Rodricks on the day 2 of BPFT at the Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon. From Chandigarh to Mumbai, an exciting 60 day journey with 6 cities playing host to the work of 10 masters of the craft, and their spectacular creations, at what is acknowledged as the benchmark for the Indian fashion calendar.

Wendell Rodricks finale show in Delhi was yet again a stunning affair, an event to remember forever, it was more of a party on stage rather than a regular fashion show. The show reached a high point when the dancing sensation of India Sandip Soparrkar and super model Jesse Randhawa took to the ramp in Wendell’s creations. The guests sitting in the audience only clapped and cheered till the end while they danced and showed off their attention-grabbing moves.

The finale was even a bigger surprise when the show stopper was not just Bollywood Actress Esha Gupta walking and closing the show, but another enthralling dance by Sandip and Jesse. This was the first time in the history of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour that the audiences witnessed not just one but three showstopper on one ramp.    
Wendell Rodricks’ collection ‘Red, Haute and Blue’ was completely a festivity style concept. This show indeed had the bright neon cloths of Wendell shining on the ramp but the true shine came from the dance of Sandip Soparrkar and Jesse Randhawa, the dancers were truly red haute thing in this show. The show was executed by talent that is world class- Alison Woodham for show choreography, Ambika Pillai for hair & makeup with only the finest runway models.
